About Elizabeth Power
Extraordinary Speaker. Superb Facilitator.
Elizabeth Power helps people learn, grow, and as she says, “get wise.” Since 1982, her company — EPower & Associates, Inc. — has helped hundreds of organizations cope with change, develop their people through training and education, and serve others more effectively. A significant portion of this work has focused on trauma, disability, dissociation, and affective education.
Her clients include the National Center for PTSD, and the National Child Traumatic Stress network. She is a regular speaker and presenter for the Sidran Institute, recognized world wide for its work in trauma education and management.
She has published more than a dozen books, articles, computer based training programs and corporate games. Elizabeth is a high school graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts’ writing program with a concentration in poetry.
Successful Meetings Magazine named Elizabeth Power as one of their “Hot 25 Picks” of speakers to watch along with Colin Powell, Greg Louganis, Molly Ivins, and Guy Kawasaki.
She has been featured on National Public Radio’s “Marketplace” with David Brancaccio, the Voice of America, in the US Japan Business News, and on NBC News and in other business publications talking about the power of choice in the face of change, trauma, and dissociative phenomena. Over the years, she has been a frequent guest on radio and TV talk shows.
Whether she is being serious or funny, you can count on the fact that she knows first hand what she is talking about when it comes to the challenges of coping with the change, chaos, and upheaval trauma causes.
"When life throws you a curve ball, you CAN hit it out of the park"
